WASHINGTON FIELDS
Washington Fields is a geographic area south of the Virgin River in Washington City consisting of several different subdivisions. New subdivisions continue to pop up as more land is being converted from agricultural to residential. While there has been quite a bit of development already, there still is plenty of land to develop over the coming decades. One of the benefits of living in Washington Fields is the peaceful, slow pace while still living in close proximity to shopping, restaurants and entertainment.
WHAT IS THE COMMUNITY LIKE?
Washington Fields still has a little bit of a rural feel to it in some areas while other areas have defintely transformed into housing tracts, signaling a gradual transition. There is a healthy mix of established families that have lived in the area for generations along with recent transplants from outside the area.
REAL ESTATE IN THE WASHINGTON FIELDS COMMUNITY
Homes tend to sell fairly well in Washington Fields since the location is good and a wide variety of price points can be found. Approximately 300 homes were sold in 2020 in the Washington Fields area ranging from $222k to $1.7 Million. The smallest home sold in 2020 was a 590 square foot cottage in Stucki Farms while the largest was 9,700 square foot estate on 1.87 acres.
WHAT ARE THE SCHOOLS LIKE?
There are 4 different elementary schools plus a charter school that students in grades K-5 would attend. These 4 elementary schools feed into either Washington Fields Intermediate, Fossil Ridge Intermediate or Sunrise Ridge Intermediate. These 3 intermediate schools feed into 1 of 2 middle and high schools, being Pine View and Crimson Cliffs. Pine View's nickname are the Panthers and their school colors are black, maroon and silver. Pine View was the 2nd high school to open in the greater St George area. Crimson Cliffs High School is the newest High School in Washington County which opened in August of 2019. Their school colors are Navy Blue and Red and the school Mascot is the Mustang.
AMENITIES
More and more amenities are opening up in Washington Fields, especially since the bridge built over the Virgin River connected Riverside & Mall Drive to the area. Grocery stores, car washes, restaurants, office space and a medical facility have all recently blossomed with more planned to come. Sullivan Virgin River Soccer Park was created nearby to provide 4 soccer fields, 6 pickleball courts, 30x30 pavilion, urban fishing pond , splash pad, playground and barbecue areas for the benefit of the community.
